Bio-AR

Dreamlife is evidence that mind does not need eyes to see reality. Mind creates (projects) its own fictional reality and watches it as if it is a reality out there. Your dreamlife is evidence to that. Before you go to sleep or after you wake up, ponder this. Notice how with your eyes totally shut, in a light proof room, you still see something in your mind. What you are seeing is your own mind. Mind is its own "reality out there" and, when prompted, it can see itself - it can see itself as a "reality out there." Problem is that during the waking hours, we don't see how our very own minds are superimposing a mind-movie of its own making upon the actual reality of out there. Mind is the original AR - the original augmented reality. In our baseline way of functioning, we are looking at the world at least through two layers of windows. The first window is perceptual: the organism (that you are) organizes the actual reality out there into a reality that matters to you. This first perceptual filter is evolutionarily selective: it only extracts survival-salient info. So, that's what you see first - a sample of reality through this first window of perception. The second window is a narrative window, a window of interpretation, the bio-AR (the biological augmented reality). These two windows are your input - in them everything is fiction, except for the space between the objects because space cannot be sensorially distorted or conceptually misinterpreted. The rest - the objects and their meanings - are all mind-movie. And yet, despite this self-hypnosis, we can still wake up and let the movie-making-mind see itself making a movie ... How marvelous ...
