A response to a fellow mind seeking input on what to do about feeding life crickets to his pet lizard; the person, with buddhist background:

"it's a moral dilemma, Julian. there are no objective solutions to dilemmas of subjectivity.  it comes down to attachment: who are more attached to - your pet or random life-forms? pet, of course.  mind is bias. objectivity is a myth. what matters is that you have approached this consciously, what matters is that you appear to have baseline empathy for all life-forms. it'd be enough for me if i was dispensing karma-points. welcome to this zero-sum reality, fellow sufferer."
